Visit Santa Paula – The Vision
Santa Paula is the gem of the Heritage Valley, boasting a rich history in the development of the oil and agriculture industries, as well as a vibrant downtown area. With the introduction of the “Visit Santa Paula” marketing strategy, we want to let world know what Santa Paula offers in the way of dining experiences, shopping venues, activities, and cultural events. It our simple vision to help bring more business to Santa Paula. We want to help local businesses, museums, and non-profits work together to draw people and revenue to our city so that all members reap the benefits of successful tourism marketing.
This will be done in three phases consisting of a visually pleasing & continually updated website, a growing and comprehensive social media presence, followed by professionally printed materials for local merchants and museums to use to promote local businesses.
Our new state of the art web site, visitsantapaulaca.com, will highlight local restaurants, stores, museums, lodging, and outdoor activities found only in Santa Paula. The homepage will be a vibrant window into our great city; well designed and simple to navigate. It will feature promotional videos, photos and blurbs about the best things to do in town. A map of downtown will show exactly how to get to each of our affiliated business locations. Each merchant will have a link to their own dedicated page as well as a featured spot on the homepage for one month out of the year.
Social Media, Video Commercial, & Email Marketing
As part of the subscription package, a one-minute promotional video will be shot on location at your business and used both on our website as well as our various social media domains: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. The best part about this is that you have the video to keep and use in the future for any promotion, and on any platform you want! Our merchants will also have a continuous presence on our social media sites and be featured in at least one email blast during the year. We hope to build a network between our merchants for cross-promotion over the various platforms. As a part of your membership cost, we ask that you provide $50 in gift cards to your establishment for the purpose of promotion and various giveaways and special events we will be having throughout the year.
As a second-phase of our marketing strategy, Visit Santa Paula will produce an Annual Visitors Guide which will be printed and widely distributed around the city and surrounding areas each year. It will include a map of the participating merchants in the downtown area, with a one to two sentence blurb about each business.
